HEMATOXYLIN & EOSIN AND PAPANICOLAOU – SEND & CHOOSE

#constantinnovation

Hematoxylin - Eosin (H&E) staining is the oldest and most used stain in Anatomic Pathology laboratories, it is of essential importance for diagnosis even today. For this reason, Diapath S.p.A. offers a range of staining, developed according to the reference literature and optimized with the aim of constant product improvement, allowing to take advantage of excellent results, enhancing nuclear details and emphasizing intensity gradations of cytoplasmic stains.

Papanicolaou staining is a polychrome staining for cytological specimens (both gynecological and non-gynecological). The method is based on an aqueous-based nuclear staining and two alcohol-based cytoplasmic staining. Hematoxylin is normally used for blue-purple staining of nuclei, OG6 and EA50 as cytoplasmic dyes. OG6 is the staining solution that highlights cytoplasm in cells and keratinized areas.EA50 is a polychrome solution that enables specific differentiation of cytoplasm of squamous epithelial cells.

The new Send & Choose service by Diapath allows you to choose the combination of different kind of Hematoxylin and Eosin that best suits your needs and those of your laboratory, through 4 simple steps:

1. COMPLETE :
fill in the form and choose the H&E and/or PAP combination that you want to try

2. SEND:
prepare your slides in a box and wait for the courier.
* For cytology samples (smears or monolayer spots) fix them with fixative spray before sending them

3. TESTING AT DIAPATH HEADQUARTER:
your slides stained with reliable Diapath H&E and/or PAP staining solution

4. CHOOSE:
once received your stained slides, analyze them and choose the best H&E and/or PAP combo for your lab. needs

The advantages for you:

QUALITY IN DIAGNOSTICS
Different intensity gradations for high quality nuclear and cytoplasmic stains

IMPROVED FORMULATIONS

ATTENTION: The slides delivered must not report any sensitive data attributable to a subject, they must report only and exclusively the indication of the type of tissue and the thickness of the section (eg infiltrating carcinoma of the breast - 3µm). A maximum of 5 slides can be sent per case. The stained slides will be used exclusively for your evaluation of the result of the different H&E and/or PAP combination chosen as per the table above and will not have any diagnostic purpose. It is required that a stained glass slide be sent for each combination chosen. If the slides are not correlated with the already stained ones, the request will not be accepted.
